Well to make your ad word campaign successful and worth spending I present some keen facts and suggestions to be considered while developing ad word advertisements.

Click through rate is a rough approximation of relevancy, in many ways this parallels the idea of grading the web on links. A relevant ad will have higher click through rates than a non relevant listing.

CAPITALIZE FIRST LETTERS
You'll get superior results from changing the first letter of EVERY word in your ad to UPPER CASE.
Your Headline
Your Ad Text
Your URL

If you have the keywords you want to list well in within your text it they will be bold when people search for them. This will also add to your click through rate.
Qualify your traffic. One word search terms frequently draw competitors and junk traffic to a level that usually exceeds any intrinsic value the listing may have.

Google AdWords are syndicated, which means you can choose to list only in Google; in Google & other search sites; or in Google, other search sites, and in contextual ads. Think of the various user bases and decide which may be better for you. You also can decide which countries and languages you want to list in for further targeting.

Use provoking words: Use provoking words that instantiate action of the user like free, free shipping, special offer, limited time offer, tips, tricks etc. These types of words actually attract the users but make sure that the words are specific to your business otherwise they can be removed by Google.

You can place expensive words in there own ad group. You may want to use some ad groups for generic terms and others for specific terms.

As long as they are relevant and specific you are not likely to use too many keyword phrases, just remember to place them in various groups and track them.

Seeing the keywords they searched upon displayed in your ad's title has a magical effect in getting viewers to click!

Link to exact pages: Always link to correct pages for example if you are advertising a particular product then link to the page in particular that is selling that product and not to the site’s homepage. User will never like much browsing and will ultimately leave for your competitor if isn’t able to find the desired information. So link to particular pages.

Google allows the ads to be grouped and has began offering a free conversion calculator. Through properly grouping and monitoring the results of your Adwords campaign it is easy to see which ads are profitable and create similar ones.

Tempting as it may seem, if you change too many variables at once while you're testing ads, you won't know what works - and what didn't.

Change only ONE THING at a time. One word in your headline may get your ad to pull twice as many clicks. Test everything - one at a time.

Google AdWords now allows you to target your ads based on the country, state, or city level, as well as have your ads appear within a specified radius of a location.

Geotargeting will help increase your clickthrough rate and give you traffic which is more pre qualified for a purchase if you are a local business.

My name is Samuel Colon, Online Business Man, the owner of http://www.realmoneysolution.com/. AdSense is a "pay per click" (PPC) program, where you earn money each time one of your readers clicks on a Google-served ad. Since you earn money on clicks, rather than completed sales, PPC ad networks can provide a more reliable source of income for sites whose readers are not looking to make a purchase right away. Other notable PPC ad networks include the Yahoo! Publisher Network and Ad Voyager.

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.
The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.

Once registered with a merchant's program, you can create an ad or product link on your site using a snippet of Web code downloaded from the retailer. Some merchants go further and allow you to create virtual storefronts that match the design of your site, but where the retailer still handles all the inventory and commerce. Be careful setting up such arrangements -- unless you want customers coming to you for return and refund questions instead of to the retailer.

The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.

The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates.

If you are certain that your content is unique and valuable enough that readers would be willing to pay for it, you'll need to select a way to handle payments from your readers. The system could be as easy as asking readers mail you a check in exchange for your putting them on e-mail content distribution list -- a method which offers the advantage of not requiring any advanced Web server security set-up.

The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.

Most PPC ads are text, but some PPC networks also sell image and Flash ads. Ads are sold and displayed based on an auction system, where advertisers bid on selected keywords and phrases that appear on network websites. The ad network looks for webpages displaying its ad code, then matches what it determines the content of a webpage to be with the most appropriate keywords and phrases that advertisers have bid upon.

Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.
There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously.

My name is Samuel Colon, Online Business Man, the owner of http://www.realmoneysolution.com. Wrong!

There are several answers to this question, none of which are to lower the price. Today, I'm going to address a key factor that anyone can implement to increase their sales--a call to action in their item description.

What is a call to action?

A call to action is a very simple word or phrase that tells your 'browser' what they should do next.
This may seem obvious, but one of the biggest mistakes you can make as an eBay seller is to sit back and 'hope' that your browser will become a buyer.

You get the idea. Your product may have a special element, which will make this part easy. But, even if your product isn't unique, you can still come up with an effective call to action.

Increase your sales immediately.

Using a call to action is not something new and it is more than just an idea. This method of selling has been repeatedly tested over time. Experts report that you will increase your sales by 80% simply by telling your browsers what to do next.

Maintain a good work schedule, and stick to it.
Something that really helps in our home is that I have set working hours during the day. At 4 PM, I emerge from my office like someone returning home from work, and I’ll take the children to the park, help with chores around the house, or run errands with the family.

The second, and my favorite, is to invite potential customers to sign up for free information. Provide a call to action, such as, 'Click here to visit my About Me page and discover how to receive free, weekly tips about buying collectible trains on eBay without getting scammed.'

Collecting names of those who are in the market for your type of product is absolutely priceless.
Watch for an upcoming article about creating and using newsletters to increase Internet sales.

Roughly speaking, eBay sellers are divided into two groups. The first group is casual sellers, who make a few bucks with occasional, one-time sales of items like uncle Gary's old bowling shoes or aunt Mildred's old Elvis albums. No real work is involved.

The second group is serious sellers. They make more than a few bucks — in some cases their entire living — and find themselves constantly listing, selling, and packing.

Unlike the first group, this second group's workload is too large to handle manually. Serious sellers need software to help them manage the constant ebb and flow of their business.

But before people delve into the swirling sea of auction software, he advises them to answer one basic question.

These tools allow automatic updating; a seller simply inserts a snippet of HTML code into her eBay page, which changes to display new items as a seller adds them.

If a seller has attained a healthy sales level, but is having trouble leveraging sales to existing customers to create still more sales — that is, he lacks repeat buyers or the ability to up-sell current customers, he could use a marketing program.

If a seller finds herself to be selling so many items that she can't keep track of it all, and she's not sure of who should be sent what, or if her many buyers have paid (or if it's time to file a non-paying bidder report), she needs an overall auction management package.

eBay Market Analysis Programs

Sellers can compare the features of all eBay's management tools here.

eBay market analysis software provides an overall portrait of shopper behavior in the eBay market.
For example, these programs show statistics indicating what time of the day, or day of the week, that sellers get the best price for an iPod. They also reveal which listing upgrades are most effective. So a market analysis program might show, for instance, that sellers who buy the Gallery Upgrade achieve a ten percent higher price.

Unlicensed programs provide a wider array of data, though it's limited to just the last two weeks of transactions.

There are zillions of marketing tools for online merchants, but the key to choosing one for an eBay business is finding one that integrates with the auction giant's platform.

If a seller is generally keeping up with the business, but the competition is getting better prices for similar items, or if a seller feels he should be selling more items per week, he could make use of market analysis software.

eBay Auction Management Packages

A good auction management program is a seller's all-purpose toolbox. It helps with listing, inventory management, and post-sales tasks; it integrates with accounting programs, and it includes e-mail templates, among other tools.

If a seller finds herself to be selling so many items that she can't keep track of it all, and she's not sure of who should be sent what, or if her many buyers have paid, she needs an overall auction management package.

My name is Samuel Colon, Online Business Man, the owner of http://www.realmoneysolution.com. Just submit your blog to Google for approval. If Google likes what it sees, it will place contextual ads linking to products likely to appeal to the readers. Each time a reader clicks a link, the advertiser pays Google a small fee, and Google splits that with you.

Find your keywords

Before serving ads on a web page, check its keyword density. A free and advanced tool for finding the most prominent keywords in a page can be found here: SEO Density Analyzer. Copy the most important keywords to a text file ([web page name]-adsense-keywords.txt).

Improve your keywords

Get keyword suggestions from Overture Search Inventory and from Google AdWords Sandbox. Get new keywords that can help you improve your ad relevance. Be especially careful of anyone with negatives on large ticket items.

Pay promptly.

Always leave eBay.com feedback.

Respond to all questions from inquiring eBay bidders promptly.

Try to comprehend the power of the Internet. People run their business from the Internet, search for love, research succulent recipes, plan vacations, and best of all - they SHOP!

The most popular public auction site, eBay, is where people gather to find anything from dishes to jewelry to houses and just about everything in between. You will find it to be easy, fun, and exciting.

1. Collectibles
Hot sellers on eBay are collectibles such as coins, stamps, or dolls.

2. Consumables

This category would include anything that people use and then would need to buy again such as lotions, camera film, candles, perfumes etc.

Is the item you're posting on eBay new or just opened and never used or in fair condition? These seemingly small details can often make the difference in a higher bid for your product.

Mention comments in your follow up e-mail after your eBay.com auction is closed.

Send the merchandise only after you have received payment for your eBay.com auction item, even if it’s from a family member.

Leave comments only after the eBay.com buyer confirms receipt of the product, either via e-mail or the eBay.com comments form.

Look before you list. In all honesty, Adsense has probably been the driving force behind the increased level of interest in using blogs as a revenue producing tool. However, not all bloggers are able to use Adsense and it may not meet the specific needs of some other users.

If you have a blog that produces a nice stream of traffic and are looking for alternatives to Adsense, you may want to consider some of these options:

Adgenta.

Adgenta is a keyword based advertising program that allows users to insert ads into their blog. Every time an ad is clicked, the blogger is paid a flat rate of $.015US. Adsense determines which ads to display based on its own assessment of your page’s content. Adgenta, on the other hand, allows you to choose which keywords you would like it to use in choosing advertisements. This can be a great solution for those who have pages that fail to serve up relevant Adsense ads or for those who tend to get only very low paying ads and feel there are related subjects that would induce clicks from users. Adgenta’s interface is simple and sign up is free. The ads are actually inserted into your site using simple HTML blocks and the ads are actually linked graphics, unlike the more complicated script used by Adsense. http://www.realmoneysolution.com

Yahoo. Yahoo has launched YPN, its version of Adsense and preliminary reports indicate that it may be a profitable solution for those unable to use Adsense. The Yahoo system works in a manner various similar to Adsense, and Adsense users should be able to utilize the program easily. Although still in its infancy, the program is backed by a major player, which lends it a greater degree of long-term reliability. Unfortunately, the YPN project is still in beta and one must apply for or receive an invitation to participate.

Ad Networks. Instead of relying on a pay-per-click model, many bloggers have decided to sell space on their blogs for advertising. This can be accomplished by the blogger directly or through the use of an ad brokerage. Those who feel your blog will attract the type of audience likely to find their product appealing may rent space for an advertisement on your site. If you have a blog that receives a significant number of well-targeted visitors, selling advertising space can be a great alternative to the Adsense PPC model.

Other options abound. Chikita mini-malls, using your blog as a way to launch affiliate sales, text link programs, the new MSN contextual advertising program and a host of alternatives are available. If Adsense doesn’t work for your blog, or you cannot use Adsense, there are some other credible ways to make your blog a financial winner. Adsense may be the biggest game in town, but it certainly is not the only one!
www.boldbaba-blogging.com
<!--

It would appear though that I was wrong....

Following my offer earlier in the week (if you missed it, you can find out more by clicking the link at the bottom of this article), I received a number of emails from people all with different questions about what Adsense was, how it worked and how it could benefit individual website owners.

So let me explain..... :-)

Google Adsense basically allows any website owner to act as an affiliate for Google by displaying Google's paid 'Adwords' adverts on their own website. If you are not familiar with Adwords, just do a search on Google - the boxed results down the right-hand side are Adwords and every time you click on one of them, the owner of the site being advertised gets charged a set amount. The exact amount of the charge depends on how popular the keyword is that you searched for and a few other factors - without going into too much detail, you just need to be aware that this charge can be anywhere from 5cents to several dollars.

If you sign up for an Adsense account (which is completely free - more details from the link at the very bottom of this page), you are able to place the same adverts as are shown on Google's search results pages on your own website pages. But the real beauty of the system is that Google will only show adverts that are relevant to the content of your page. They do this by crawling your web page automatically before displaying any adverts. This allows Google to get an idea of what the web page is about and they can then display the adverts that are most appropriate to your visitors which in turn means that there is more chance that your visitors will click on an ad....

So why would you want to do this?

Simple - because Google will pay you a percentage of every cent they earn when someone clicks on an advert on one of your pages. Now I know what you are thinking, 'If some people are only paying 5cents a click, then my percentage of 5cents isn't going to be much is it?' In truth, no it isn't but as I have always said, the Internet is a numbers game and whilst a proportion of 5cents is always going to be small, what about if you got a proportion of 1000 5cents each day? You also need to bear in mind that there are very few search terms out there that only cost 5cents - in my experience, a more accurate average would be about 20cents - 50cents.

I know many people that have been using Adsense for some time on their main websites and easily make a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars a month and that's great. Quite frankly, it is probably the easiest income you will ever make because other than adding a bit of code to your web pages, there is nothing else to do. If you have a website with a reasonable level of traffic, I would definitely give it a go. Some people have a concern that by using Adsense, they may lose potential customers as they could click away from their site and this is a genuine possibility so you should take care when considering where to place adverts and on which pages. On the flipside, I know a couple of people that are now making more money from Adsense each month than they were selling their own product so they are more than happy with this arrangement! http://www.realmoneysolution.com

If a few hundred dollars a month isn't enough to excite you, maybe you would be more interested to know that there are people out there earning, quite literally, tens of thousands of dollars a month purely from Google Adsense! Yes you did read that correctly and these are not wild claims, this level of income really is possible - my own Adsense record is just under $6,000 in a single month!

To be earning at this level you need some serious traffic and the majority of individuals that are bringing in this kind of cash tend to fall into the category of using some sort of page generating software to churn out hundreds of web pages at a time. This type of software works on the principal that if you put thousands of web pages online, some of them will get good search engine rankings thus driving free traffic to a site or page which has Google Adsense clearly displayed as soon as a visitor arrives.

There is some dispute over whether this type of page generation is ethical or not given that the pages created by these types of software are often pretty junky and not that helpful to a visitor. One argument is that they are cluttering up the Internet and the other argument is that a webmaster can put whatever pages they like on their own server - if a search engine decides to rank these pages highly, that's up to them. Equally, if a visitor then decides to click on an advert on that page and generate a bit of income, so be it.

If you are interested in finding out more about Google Adsense, please check out a new training video that was launched just a few days ago. Once you join the adsense program you are given a number of options. One of which is the choice of placing ads onto your website.

This is generally the most popular choice and one which will help you to make the most money with google adsense.

Regarded as one of the most popular ad unit sizes is the large rectangle (336x280). This generally pulls the best results when placed at the top of an article or by making the article wrap around the google ad unit.

When placing the google adsense code onto your site it is often best to make it blend in with the look and feel of your website.

Another technique which is popular when placing the google adsense code onto your website is by using the leader board (728x90) and placing images above or below each of the adsense ads which are shown.

Making money with adsense is becoming more popular and more website owners are beginning to make it there sole revenue generating sources for their website. Be sure to check out the dominating adsense multimedia study course which contains over 3 hours of audio and video tutorials teaching you step by step how to make money with adsense. Get it by visiting

==> http://www.dominatingadsense.com/studycourse

Since the birth of google adsense more and more features have been added. One of which is the google ad links.

The google adlinks are basically a set of link which can be displayed in a number of ways on your website.

Results have shown that blending the adsense adlinks with your sites navigation links have produced the highest CTR (click through rate).

If you have a website that is getting visitors each day, google adsense is probably one of the better ways of earning revenue from those visitors.

Depending on what the topic of your site is the money you receive from google per click can vary.

A website on mortgages will earn a lot more per click than a website on cartoons.

The reason behind this is that a mortgage company can afford to pay large sums of money to acquire a customer as one customer will easy pay for there advertising costs.

Google adsense also allows you to assign channels so that you are able to track your adsense earnings with ease. Knowing what page/keyword term is making you the most money is very valuable information. http://www.realmoneysolution.com

Another great thing about google adsense is that once you are approved you will be able to place adsense on as many websites as you wish as long as those websites comply with google's terms and conditions.

If you are interested in making money with adsense then you should definitely check out a new course that has been released. Webmasters are paid a portion of the revenue which Google collects from advertisers each time a web site visitor clicks on an AdSense advertisement.

Each click may pay anywhere from a few cents to several dollars. The average click seems to be worth about $.20. The more clicks AdSense advertisers receive from your web pages, the more money you make.

The basic formula for thinking about revenue from Google AdSense is:

Revenue = (Impressions * CTR * CPC)

The methods of increasing your revenue from Google AdSense are:

Increase Impressions

Increase Click-Through-Ratio (CTR)

Increase Cost-Per-Click (CPC)

Increase Impressions

The most basic method of increasing your number of impressions is to increase the traffic to your web site.

The topic of increasing traffic to your web site is beyond the scope of this article, and most likely something you are already working on.

One technique for increasing the number of Google AdSense impressions without an increase in traffic to your web site is to motivate your users to enable JavaScript. Google AdSense ads require JavaScript. Visitors to your website who do not have JavaScript enabled in their browsers will not see your Google AdSense ads.

To encourage your users to enable JavaScript, create content for your web page which is only available via JavaScript. Implement browser JavaScript detection in your HTML to notify visitors without JavaScript enabled that they are only receiving a portion of your available content.

Increase Click-Through-Ratio (CTR)

A small increase in Click-Through-Ratio can mean a large increase in revenue. A rise from a CTR of 1.0 to a CTR of 1.1 should mean an increase in revenue of 10%.

Several on-page factors can influence your Click-Through-Ratio. These factors include:

Ad placement

Ad color

Ad unit style

Total number of links

Ad placement

The best location to place ads is wherever the web site visitor will be looking.
Open up your web page. Where on the page does your eye immediately focus? Place an ad there.

The best performing ads seem to be ads which are inline with content. However, it can be very challenging to place inline ads across entire web sites.

Placing ads across an entire web site is usually accomplished with Shared HTML (shtml) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). This effectively limits ads to appearing in the same locations across a wide range of web pages.

Ads On the Top of the Page

Ads in the page header perform moderately well. The location is a good one to catch a visitors eye. However, many web users have developed a condition known as "ad blindness" where their brains automatically skip over advertisements.

One technique to reduce ad blindness is to place the advertisement below the page header and as far into the content space as possible. If your content space can be divided into multiple sections, this may work well for you.

Ads On the Bottom of the Page

Ads at the bottom of the page perform poorly. Web site visitors tend to read a page from the top down, and may never reach the bottom of the page. In addition, web site visitors have many different browser sizes, which may cause them to never see the advertisement unless they scroll down to it.

Ads On the Right Side of the Page

Ads on the right side of the page perform moderately well, and are currently in vogue. They appear to perform slightly better than ads on the top of the page at the current time, most likely due to better resilience to ad blindess.

When using ads on the right side of the page, it is important to test your web page at several different screen resolutions in several different web browers. Your web pages should automatically resize to ensure that the advertisements do not scroll outside of the browser window or get "bumped" down below the content.

Internet Explorer appears to have a bug which can cause right side ads to be "bumped" down below the content if the total width of all sections of the web page is equal to 100%. To work around this bug, ensure that the total width of your web page is 96% or less.
Ads On the Left Side of the Page

Ads on the left side of the page may perform the best. The left side of the page is normally reserved for the web site menu. This means that users frequently look to the left side of the page.

The difficulty is determining where to place your web site menu when the left side of the page is no longer available to you. A top menu might work for you, depending upon the design and content of your web site. Placing your menu on the right side of the page is another option, but one that may confuse some web site visitors.

If Google allows more than one ad unit per page in the future, the left side of the page might become an excellent location for a single ad, either above or below the menu.

Ad Color

Many webmasters report that brightly colored ads which contrast sharply with the color scheme of the rest of the web page return excellent results for them.

My experience has been that ads which mimic the look and feel of the rest of my web page return the best results. This is most likely because the Google AdSense ads closely relate to the topic of the page and therefore appear to the visitor as additional content.

Ad Unit Style

The Google AdSense programs offers a wide variety of ad unit styles and sizes. The ad unit styles include:

Ad Unit Dimensions Leaderboard 728x90 Banner 486x60 Half Banner 234x60 Button 125x125 Skyscraper 120x600 Wide Skyscraper 160x600 Medium Rectangle 300x250 Large Rectangle 336x280 Small Rectangle 180x150 Square 250x250

Leaderboard and Banner ad units are obvious choices to placement in page headers and footers. Leaderboards are preferable, because they are able to show more ads. Banners are a classic web format, and may be necessary where the width of your available space is limited.

Skyscrapers are an excellent choice for advertisements, because they appear to be less
vulnerable to ad blindness than the horizontal ad formats. Google recently added the wide skyscraper format. This new ad unit displays one more ad than the classic 120x600 skyscraper unit. If you are currently using the 120x600 skyscrapers, switching to the new wide skyscraper format may increase your revenue from the Google AdSense program.

Rectangles, Squares, and Buttons are best used when placed inside a content area. This makes rectangles more difficult to place, but also gives then the best revenue potential.

Total Number of Links

Reducing the total number of links on your content pages can increase revenue from AdSense by reducing the options for a visitor.

If your web page has fifteen links and one AdSense wide skyscraper on it, the visitor has a total of twenty options for leaving your page without closing the browser window.
This means that, if the user clicks on a link, the random odds that the visitor will click on an

AdSense link are 5 in 20.

If you reduce the number of other links on the page to 5, the total number of options presented to the user is now 10. This means that the random odds of a user selecting an AdSense ad are now 5 in 10.

Another option, but one which may annoy your web site visitors, is to open all external links in a new window. This will leave your page open in the users browser, giving them another opportunity to click on an AdSense link. This can be done by adding target="_new" to your HTML links, or by converting your outbound links to JavaScript.

It should be noted that Google AdSense never opens ads in a new window.

Test, Test and Test Again

Testing is the key to increasing your CTR percentages. Change your ad colors, wait a week and look at the stats. Do the same with different ad units and different ad placement.

Increase Cost-Per-Click (CPC)

Not all Google AdSense ads are created equal. Google AdWords advertisers bid for keyword combinations, and some combinations are much more expensive than others.

The Google AdSense robot, Mediabot, automatically scans your web pages and determines the appropriate ads to display on your page.

It is possible to create web pages which are designed specifically to attract certain keywords from the Google AdSense program.

To determine which keywords have a higher Cost-Per-Click, create a Google Adwords account in the Google AdWords advertiser interface. This will enable you to determine roughly what AdWords advertisers are paying for each keyword combinatiom.

Based upon this information, you may decide to create a new web page or a whole new web site.

AdSense Alternate Ads

Google AdSense is not always able to find an advertisement which matches the content of your web page. Normally, AdSense selects a Public Service Ad (PSA) and displays it in your ad space.
These PSA's generate no revenue for you.

Google has created the ability to load an alternate ad when it cannot find a matching ad. This is accomplished by setting a variable called google_alternate_ad_url in your AdSense layout code:
google_alternate_ad_url = "/adsense-alternate-ad.shtml";

These alternate ads can include advertisements from Google AdSense competitors, such as Clicksor.

This capability enables you to tap into a revenue stream which would normally by lost to AdSense PSAs.

Future Improvements to AdSense which will Increase Revenue to You
Google is constantly improving the AdSense program. Many of these improvements will mean additional revenue in your pocket.

Google has recently improved the speed with which MediaBot accesses new web pages. This means that you start earning revenue more quickly.

Google is constantly working to improve the relevancy of AdSense ads. Ads which are more
relevant are more likely to be clicked on by web site visitors.

Google is currently working to give webmasters the ability to place multiple AdSense ad units on the same web page. This will enable the webmaster to place five small single-ad units around the web page, instead of one wide skyscraper. This should considerably reduce losses from ad blindness.

My name is Samuel Colon, Online Business Man, the owner of http://www.realmoneysolution.com. The more clicks AdSense advertisers receive from your web pages, the more money you make.

The basic formula for thinking about revenue from Google AdSense is:

Revenue = (Impressions * CTR * CPC)

This is accomplished by setting a variable called google_alternate_ad_url in your AdSense layout code:
google_alternate_ad_url = "/adsense-alternate-ad.shtml";

You want to portray your car in the best possible light so that online buyers know what it is that they're buying.

Think of your car as a fashion model. Would you photograph that model with a backdrop of power lines in an alley and other junk, or would you position her out on the beach with the picturesque ocean in the background? Would you do close-up photographs of a new pimple on her chin, or would you zoom in on her eyes instead?

The goal is to make your customer feel like he knows what the car is truly like. To do that you must take at least 60 quality photos in specific areas.

Now that I have you thinking about it, here are some things to consider:

Prepare Your Car

- Wash and wax your car

- Thoroughly clean windows and wheels

- Degrease the engine compartment

- Throw out any junk inside

- Vacuum out the interior

- Clean any stains from the carpets and seats

- Clean out the trunk

Stage Your Car For Its Photo Shoot

- Move the car into an open area (an enclosed garage makes for junky pictures). A park or
school parking lot can work but it is better to find a pleasant background as you compose your marketing pictures.

- Make sure there are no other vehicles in the background so that the focus is entirely on what you are selling and not on the noise in the background.

- Double check to make sure there is nothing junky in the background of your shot like garbage dumpsters, bikes, power lines, etc.

- Shoot crisp, properly lighted digital photos (All you need is about 72 dpi resolution. Any more resolution results in much larger image files and offers nothing for the online buyers.)

- When shooting problem areas, like rust or dents, make sure you include a non-rusted area in the shot.

- Watch the lighting! Make sure your shot is full of light so that you aren't shooting shadows. If you can't get light then move the car, get artificial lights or wait for a brighter time of day.

- The number of shots you take will be determined by the type of vehicle you are selling. For example, a 2-seater requires fewer shots than an SUV simply because there are less doors and seats. http://www.realmoneysolution.com

- Manually turn on your camera's flash system so that the light backfills dark areas. This is crucial when shooting the engine compartment and undercarriage.

- When taking your shots, make sure you fill the frame of the photograph so that it is mostly a picture of your car. Your focus is on the car, so don't take any of those long distance shots where you can't make out much detail.

The Money Shots - the number in parentheses shows about how many photos to take for a 2-seater.

- (4) Shoot all four corners at 45 degree angles to the car. Shooting downward from a ladder or chair gives your pictures a unique viewpoint and also lets you eliminate much of the background "noise".

- (10) Crouch down and shoot 5 pictures across the front starting at a 45 degree corner shot,
then straight on corner, then middle, then other straight corner and other 45 degree corner shots. Repeat for the rear.

- (4) Shoot wheels

- (2) Shoot down length of car to show body straightness on each side

- (6) Shoot engine compartment from all angles

- (2) Shoot trunk straight on and from 45 degree angle

- (3) Rear seat compartment.

- (3) Dashboard. Straight on from driver seat, middle and passenger seat.

- (6) Open door. Shoot the hinge, door jamb and the door sill for each door.

- (2) Shoot the door panels with the doors open

- (4) Open the doors and shoot the front seats.

- (2) Console between the front seats.

- (2) Pedals and floor wear areas.

- (5) Undercarriage. Shoot exhaust, brakes and frame.

Stop by http://www.cheap-cars-report.com/ to discover ways to save money on your next car purchase, or click on over to http://www.free-cars-site-reviews.com/ to find out how to drive a late model car for free!

About The Author
Larry Scott publishes auto related sites at http://www.cheap-cars-report.com/ and http://www.free-cars-site-reviews.com/.
<!--

Google Adsense is a program that you advertise in you website and once somebody clicks you make money. If you enter the website and if the website as Google adsense it means that you have an impression.

I have a question I receive right now more than 60 visits daily to my page of an 2 month of age site, and when I enter to my adsense accout, it has only 13 impressions. Why??????????????????????????

http://www.realmoneysolution.com
<!--

Once you join the adsense program you are given a number of options. One of which is the choice of placing ads onto your website.

This is generally the most popular choice and one which will help you to make the most money with google adsense

Regarded as one of the most popular ad unit sizes is the large rectangle (336x280). This generally pulls the best results when placed at the top of an article or by making the article wrap
around the google ad unit.

==> http://www.dominatingadsense.com/studycourse

Karp

Think of eBay as the ultimate return policy. No matter where or when you bought an item (or from which crazy relative you received it as a gift), you can turn around and sell it, sometimes for more than what you paid. The eBay marketplace is no longer a phenomenon; it's a hobby, a livelihood, and even a way of life for millions of addicts around the globe. But no matter how much you sell on eBay, odds are you're missing a few opportunities to maximize your bottom line. Here are some tips that can help.

Look before you list. The most effective way to get the most money is to know your market. Before you list your item, perform a quick, title-only search on eBay for items similar to yours. Then, click on Completed items (under the Display heading) and sort the results by price (highest-priced first). Keep in mind that any given item on eBay is worth only what others are willing to pay for it, so ignore any listings that never received bids. Scrutinize the most successful sales and see how the sellers have described and promoted their items in order to earn top dollar.

Price to sell. When you're ready to list, set your Buy-It-Now price in the neighborhood of what you expect your item is worth; raise it a little for particularly in-demand or scarce objects, or take a few dollars off if you want to move your merchandise fast. Set the starting price (the opening bid) much lower, though, anywhere from a single dollar to no more than half your item's value; this will encourage healthy bidding, thus raising the perceived value and the final price. If you've done your research, you won't have to worry about your item selling for too little.
Reserve judgment. If you're considering a reserve price for your listings—don't. The reserve price is a secret dollar amount below which you're under no obligation to sell, and it is useful only if you don't know the value of your item. Reserves tend to scare away bidders and accomplish nothing more than lowering the closing price unnecessarily. Even worse is the use of a Buy-It-Now price alongside a reserve price, as bidders easily confuse the two and give up any hope of getting a bargain.

Spelling counts. The success of any auction item relies almost entirely on the likelihood of its being found in searches and—to a lesser extent—eBay's category listings. eBay searches are seeded by the words you place in your auction titles, so include as many relevant keywords as possible without wasting space with unnecessary punctuation, nonsense such as "@@ Look! @@," or any other terms for which your customers won't be searching. Since eBay uses exact-match (as opposed to fuzzy) searches, the words in your titles must be spelled correctly in order to show up in search results. But if you have the space, be sure to include some intentional misspellings (Delorean, Delorian, or Delorion, for example) to accommodate your more spelling-challenged customers; just make sure the correct spelling is also there.

With only a scant 45 characters in which to work, there's rarely room to spare in an auction title. If you're inclined to highlight the condition, scarcity, or other special aspects of your item, do so in the subtitle. Although subtitles are indexed only in title-and-description searches (not the more common title-only searches), they do appear in all search results and category listings and are effective in getting extra attention. A subtitle costs 50 cents, so don't bother for any item worth less than about $25.

Dress for success. A little color and spice in your auction will not only make it more inviting and more professional-looking, it will help emphasize important details in the auction description. Among the most vital are the payment and shipping details, both of which are unfortunately buried far beneath the photos in eBay's new auction page design. The clearer, simpler, and easier to find your terms are, the less likely you are to be hassled by confused or disappointed customers or deadbeat bidders.

HTML: Make it look good. A rudimentary WYSIWYG description editor is part of eBay's Sell Your Item form (Internet Explorer only), but it offers little more than basic control over the font size and appearance. For the best-looking and most feature-rich descriptions (including such niceties as in-line images, tables, and even JavaScript), you'll want to turn to your favorite Web page editor; Adobe GoLive, Netscape Composer, or even Microsoft Word will do. The problem with these applications is that they generate complete, standalone pages, not insertable HTML code that can be pasted into a Web form. Fortunately, Creative Element Power Tools (free trial, $18 registration fee, www.creativelement.com/powertools) comes with an Extract HTML Page Content tool, which bridges this gap. Type and format your auction description in your Web page editor and save it as an HTML file. Then, right-click on the file, select Extract Page Content, and paste the formatted text into the description field of eBay's Sell Your Item form. Finally, click on Preview Your Description to double-check your work.

Easy payment plan. The easier you make payment for customers, the more likely they'll be to give you their business. The most popular payment method these days is PayPal, which lets members send money to anyone with an e-mail address. The only cost is assessed to sellers, on the order of about 3 percent of the amount a seller receives. But don't be put off; the extra bids you'll get with that PayPal logo in your auction will more than make up for the measly 3 percent fee.

Although PayPal goes to some lengths to safeguard its members, you'll want to take a few extra steps to protect yourself. As a seller, refuse any payments from buyers who don't provide confirmed addresses (meaning that PayPal has verified them through their credit card records). Otherwise, you'll be forced to forfeit any money later found to be from a stolen credit card. And as a buyer, always fund your payments with a credit card for an extra layer of protection from your credit card company's charge-dispute department.

Worth a thousand bids. Nothing sells your auction better than a good photo, and you can improve your auction photo– taking skills with a few simple tricks. Shoot your item at an angle to exaggerate its depth and to make it look like it's about to jump out of the screen. Light your item from two different sources (including your camera's flash) to reduce shadows and enhance detail. Finally, make sure it's in focus! Move farther away from your item to help your camera focus on the whole thing, and crop out excess background later.

Open communication. Everyone hates junk e-mail, but your attempts to curb it may be costing you more than you realize. Overly aggressive spam filters are probably the biggest cause of negative feedback on eBay, as sellers' payment instructions often don't get to their customers' in-boxes. And bidders frequently retract bids after receiving no replies to questions sent to sellers, usually because of spam filters on both ends. Start by disabling any spam-blocking services you (or your ISP) may be employing and replacing them with a more passive spam scanner. PC Magazine recommends Norton AntiSpam 2004 (www.symantec.com/antispam) or SpamCatcher (www.mailshell.com), which mark suspected spam so that your e-mail program can trash the messages—but only after you've had a chance to inspect them.

If you suspect that your e-mail isn't reaching its destination, there are a number of back doors you can use. First, use eBay's Contact Member form whenever possible, as e-mail originating directly from eBay's servers is less likely to be trapped by an errant junk filter. If that doesn't work, send your message from an alternate account just in case your return address is what's causing the problem. If you're a seller, put a note in your auction and payment instructions that tells customers to disable their spam filters if they don't get e-mail from you. Finally, try to answer your bidders' questions right in the auction description to educate—as well as reassure—all your potential customers.

Tools to use. Creating new eBay listings can be cumbersome and time-consuming, especially if you're listing a dozen or more items at once. Automated listing software lets you create templates into which you can insert item-specific information. You can save the listings on your hard drive, which makes selling similar items or relisting the same item easy.

You can also use listing tools to schedule your listings without additional fees (a service for which eBay otherwise charges a dime per listing). You can also take your time to compose your listings at 1:00 A.M. and then upload them to eBay the next day at work. Auctions that begin and end during the daytime (by your customers' clocks) fetch higher prices than those that close while your customers are asleep. http://www.realmoneysolution.com

eBay's own very capable Turbo Lister application for Windows is available for free from http://pages.ebay.com/turbo_lister (although normal listing fees still apply). Another worthy and free tool is Auction Submit (www.auctionsubmit.com), which adds post-auction record keeping, such as the final price and high bidder of each successful auction. Both tools help you list more items in less time and fund your own binge shopping at the world's largest flea market.
<!--

The Google team shared their vision with three agency people, six marketers, and myself. They continued their tradition of soliciting feedback on our relationships with their company. Google has committed to making it easy for marketers to purchase and manage advertising that works. The team reiterated their focus on searchers' needs. By keeping the user/searcher experience paramount, all constituencies benefit. The mission statement begins: "Google's mission is to deliver the best search experience on the Internet."

Ad product changes are afoot. Some were discussed over lunch and in meetings with the sales team. The biggest will be phasing out premium sponsorships in favor of migration to an AdWord-driven system.

The decision is likely based on Google's user focus, coupled with the AdWords algorithm's amazing ability to balance the needs of the searcher, portal/publisher, and marketer.
Even if you now buy only premium sponsorships, AdWords is the future. Perhaps you're one of over 100,000 marketers using AdWords now. Are you getting everything you can out of it? There are many ways to set up and manage AdWords campaigns. Which techniques and strategies to employ depend on your goals and objectives. The more you know about the system's nuances, the better it will work for you.

AdWords underwent changes recently that allow access to more inventory and provide greater control over current listings. I'll cover the basics before introducing more sophisticated tricks and tactics.

AdWords: The Basics

Many marketers had their first experience with paid placement on Overture's auction model (perhaps back when it was called GoTo). On Overture, a CPC bid (fixed or auto) determines the position for each keyword in a campaign (subject to the Click Index exclusion for poorly performing ads).

In AdWords, position is indirectly based on CPC. CPC plays a role, but so does CTR. AdWords measures CTR at the various positions, normalizes the CTR to adjust for the positions, then multiplies the CPC by the CTR to determine the efficiency of an ad in comparison to other ads running (taking into account the position an ad was in when clicked).

The formula determines the appropriate average ranking. That means an ad with a greater CTR can be displayed in a higher position than an ad with a greater CPC. Essentially, appropriate, targeted keywords and copy that are accurate and compelling to searchers (i.e., they click) are rewarded. Using keywords and brand names in titles and descriptions can help improve CTR. http://www.realmoneysolution.com .

Ad Groups: The Power of Separation

This blended CTR/CPC method to determine position/rank is the key to several AdWords best practices. The first best practice tip is to separate keywords into different ad groups by similar core words. Separating ad groups makes tracking easier. The process of generating large, diverse campaigns with many ad groups may seem like lots of work. It is, the first time.
The following benefits accrue as a result of separation, rather than using a generic ad for a large group of keywords:

Better target the landing page without requiring a move (a sophisticated targeting method within ad groups for marketers ready to graduate to sophisticated campaign management for larger-spend campaigns).

Not using broad keyword matching and targeting by phrase allows use of that phrase in title and description, typically increasing CTR.

Creative can be written specifically for a small, focused group of keywords, improving relevance.
Understand costs at a more granular level to better determine campaign return on investment (ROI).

More effectively test creative, optimizing for not just CTR but also post-click conversion.
Be more specific using "negative keyword matching" or other match options besides "broad matching."Power Posting

Still prefer not to set up lots of ad groups? Power Posting is an alternative.
Power Posting is an AdWords account tool to better control a campaign. Power Posting lets you specify additional information for individual keywords or phrases within an ad group. An ad group with 18 very similar keywords (optimizing well-targeted, effective creative) may be best managed down to the keyword level. Each keyword within an ad group can have a landing page URL (for tracking purposes) and a different price.

Execute Multiple Creative

Leverage Google's ability to simultaneously run multiple creative executions. As Google rewards good creative by rotating good CTR ads higher, it makes sense to test ads for CTR. The easiest method is to run two creative executions simultaneously. Depending on the volume of impressions for your ad group, it may take a few hours or several days for Google to test the ads and rotate them into results. Google rewards the better ad with higher position, even during a short test. You can see the CTR for each ad in the View/Edit Campaigns area. With 40-50 clicks on either ad, the difference should be sufficient enough to determine which ad will deliver a higher volume of clicks and thus provide an advantage.

But be careful. If one ad is written in a compelling manner (well-targeted, based on the keyword or phrase) but doesn't accurately describe what a searcher will find post-click, you risk a drop in conversion, ergo reduced ROI. So, increased CTR could cause a reduction in post-click efficiency and a resulting ROI drop.

Keep creative accurate, appropriate to the landing page and what's on offer when a searcher arrives. You might have creative executions that work with broader words or ones that are effective with very specific phrases.

Dynamic Keyword Insertion

For an extremely large campaign (thousands of keywords) with significant spending, investigate "Dynamic Keyword Insertion." This technique automatically inserts keywords into the title or description, resulting in customized creative for each word. We use it for several clients. For others, we use automated means to create static versions of ads that accomplish the goal of targeted custom creative.

Landing Pages and Content Ads

Take time during campaign setup to create the best possible landing page matches between ads and pages on your site. If an ad gets very high click-through, developing a customized landing page may make sense. Similarly, high-volume campaigns should be combined with landing-page tests. Changing landing-page conversion is a huge driver of efficiency.

Make an informed decision regarding the content portion of Google's network. Though appropriate for some advertisers, the inventory does not convert well enough to justify prices paid for others. For example, an article describes how John Marshall of ClickTracks found content-driven traffic a poor fit for his business.

If you're not using a tool or service that identifies content traffic, you can build systems in-house to "tag" visitors arriving from content sources. To do so, examine the referrer. Look for "pagead.googlesyndication.com." You'll not only see the ad was a content ad but also find the site on which the ad ran. By separating clicks with the page ad referrer from regular Google clicks and examining their conversion behavior, you can make an informed decision about the AdWords's opt-in process.

Content ads may be great for you, or not. Chances are you're not getting huge click volume from those ads. But, as the percentage of clicks from content ads increases, making the right choices regarding the opt-in decision will be increasingly important.

Google's AdWords are a powerful addition to a marketing campaign. Make them more powerful still with knowledge of how best to use the system to your advantage.
<!--

These articles are usually put there by whoever owns the copyright to them as a promotion method. Each article has the owners byline placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it) and will be able to get in contact with or visit their website for further information.
Articles directories are a great place to put your articles so that they will make you money. By using this method, people who are interested in your product or service will see your article, view you as an expert in the subject, and will visit your website. Even if you cannot write or do not have any knowledge on the subject on which you are promoting (for example if you run an affiliate website), you can always hire a writer to do the work for you.

Getting quality articles written will be expensive up front, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or selling your own services, and everything from then on is pure profit. There are many companies who have writers, they will bid on writing your article.
Let¡¯s take a real life example. Imagine that you are an accountant working from home. You write an article on an accounting topic and place it on various article directories. Those who are looking for the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail.

Your article just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

Furthermore, since you have posted it on a free article directory, others who have affiliate websites about accounting will inevitably use your article for their website. Since they must attach your byline to it, this will bring you even more exposure for every website that re-posts your article. This because you will be benefiting of off the traffic that they get to their website.
http://www.realmoneysolution.com

There are numerous article directories out there for you to utilize. Your bet best is to put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new orders and more profit.
Save a lot of time and get a fast increase in traffic. If you are lucky enough to have
a domain name that 1000's of people are typing into their browser
each day, then, yes, you can make money from adsense with little work. But as many of the searchable domain names are gone, making money from google adsense now becomes a bit of a challange.

You need a good website, this is true, but you will also need alot more.

1. Your website needs to be search engine optimized.

2. You need to build links with other websites to achieve good ranking.

If you can achieve this, then you are well on the way to making money.

There are alot of good programs on the internet for both the steps mentioned above.
My choice, and easiest to use, is software by Brad Callen, called SEO Elite. This will save you
alot of time and effort in promoting your website, and show you what you need to do to win in thesearch engine war. There are many ways to improve your adsense earnings when the traffic
starts pouring in from the search engines. The best one and most effictive, is to blend your google adds into your webpage, so that they look and feel like part of your page, and not sticking out like a sore thumb.

I have heard stories of how one guy from example went from just over $10 a day, to over $500 a day by making simple changes to the google code on his website pages, and best of all, you wont get into trouble with google as its 100% legal to do. Ok, getting back to building up links or one way links to other websites is easy enough to do. Beleive it or not, this article written by me that you are reading now, has gave me a link back to my website and in turn this has helped my search engine ranking. Just imagine how many websites this article is appearing on, and each of those websites giving me a link back to my website, as if you look below you will see a link to my article website. There are many many ways to gain links to your website, but the easiest is to write articles, and submit them to article directoreys. This one article could be appearing on 1000 article websites or more over the next few months, gaining me more search engine exposure and this means more money from google adsense. How to Make Money with Google Adsense

Theres more to learn from visiting my websites at www.article-website.com and www.www.mesothelioma.com.cn, and for those of you wanting something free, you can get a free adsense ebook from my site at www.www.mesothelioma.com.cn. The ebook is called AdSense SEO Made Easy, and you will learn alot of good things to help you on your road to making money.

I sure do hope that this article has been of help to you, and if you would like your own article website installed for you also, go along to www.article-website.com/myown.html. The website you will get is excatly the same as www.article-website.com and i will also give you 25000 articles in html format to get you started.

Thanks again

Louis Neill

Copyright Louis Neill - http://www.mesothelioma.com.cn/
<!--

Over 80,000 sellers have registered for eBay’s trading assistant program.

The largest, most trusted resource online for auction information Worldwide Brands, Inc
If you can find people who are willing to give you something to sell without your paying for it unless it sells, then you have created an unstoppable money machine. With this business you get the inventory in your hand before you sell it, but your inventory is free.

Think about this a moment: What is the biggest problem eBay sellers face? It’s finding goods to sell on eBay that they can buy at a low enough cost to make a profit. What could be better than the consignment business? There is no investment in merchandise. If an item sells, you make a profit with little or no investment—or risk. If it doesn’t sell, you simply call the consignor up and ask them to come and pick up their goods. So, simply put, if you can find enough good merchandise to sell, this is a win-win business. The consignor ends up getting more for their merchandise than they could get from a garage sale or by selling it in a local auction, and you make a commission with little or no risk to you beyond the eBay listing fees. Assuming you know how to sell on eBay, and you can handle the administrative and bookkeeping side of this business, you really can’t lose as long as you find a steady supply of people with merchandise to sell. Let’s explore the ways to do this. Marketing Your Business: Ebay Business Opportunity

Marketing your business or, put another way, selling your service is the key to success in the eBay consignment opportunity. This includes all forms of advertising, networking, and public relations. Marketing is a continuous process. If you stop marketing, you will stop growing. How you plan to market your services is the most important part of your business plan. The money you spend on marketing will most likely be the largest single category of expense you have after rent and labor. You should spend your marketing dollars very carefully. Make sure you test every advertisement for effectiveness before running it again. Always start small. Most advertising venues such as newspapers, magazines, and radio will give you large discounts for signing up for a program instead of doing just one or two ads. This is highly negotiable, however. My standard answer to an advertising salesperson is “I will buy three spots (or ads) and test them. If they work, I will sign up for a larger program. If I go ahead with the larger program, I want you to credit my first three ads with the program discount.” Because advertising is very competitive, the sales rep will agree to this most of the time. If he doesn’t, then talk to his competitor first before making a decision.

Advertising :

Advertising is probably the easiest way to build a clientele. Advertising takes many forms and has a wide variety of costs, depending on the reach and frequency of the advertising you do. The great thing about advertising is that you can start small, reinvest your earnings, and grow with very little financial risk. Avoid the temptation to jump in and commit to a large program. Test your ads first in small papers and journals, before spending large sums to advertise in larger publications.

Print Advertising:

Starting out, local advertising is probably your best source of merchandise. I stress the word “local.” This is a relevant term. If you live in a small town (under 100,000 population), you can take out a classified ad for very little money (usually under $15). If you live in New York City or Los Angeles, a classified ad in the major newspapers can cost over $50. If I lived in New York City and were starting out on a small budget, I would forgo the New York Times and place an ad in one of the neighborhood journals, such as the West Side Journal. On the other hand, in a small town I could afford to advertise in the largest newspaper. There are also plenty of small publications such as the Ad Server, Little Nickel, and so on. These are very inexpensive to advertise in.

If you take your business to a higher level with employees and/or a storefront, then you will be able to afford advertising in the major newspapers.

Here is an example of a classified ad that I have used with success:
Make money selling your valuable goods on eBay. We do all the work for you. We photograph the items, list and launch the auctions, collect the money and ship the goods. We sell art, antiques, collectibles, computers, small electronics and good quality clothing, jewelry and accessories. Call 206-555-7777 Here are some shorter ads that also work:
1/ I will sell your items on eBay. Low fees. Call Skip at 306-555-5555

2/ Professional eBay Seller will get Top Dollar for your valuable goods Low fees, quick payment 703-555-5555

3/ eBay Seller works for you. Get Top Dollar for your antiques and collectibles. 212-444-4444 Radio Advertising:

Local radio stations can also be very inexpensive and effective. Small local radio stations sell 30-second spots very cheaply. For example, I once purchased 25 spots for $300. One half of the spots ran in prime time. I received over 70 calls from the spots. About 20 of those resulted in acquiring merchandise to sell on eBay. Those sales netted over $6,000. What is more important, a few of the people I dealt with are still in touch with me and bring me merchandise on a regular basis.

Bulletin Boards and Posters :

Another source of advertising is local bulletin boards in supermarkets, book stores, Laundromats, senior centers, neighborhood kiosks, and so on. Yes, people actually read these. Just create a 5x7 card with the same text as the classified ads. Post as many as you can and check them on a regular basis. You can also put those little tabs with phone numbers on the bottom that people can tear off.

Cold Calling :

Lots of people sell things at garage sales that they could sell for much more money on eBay. There are hundreds of eBay power sellers who cruise garage sales, tag sales, and estate sales buying up good used items they can sell on eBay for three or four times the cost. If you want to sell on consignment, however, getting to the sale when it opens is too late.Instead, try this: On Wednesday or Thursday, get a list of sales from your local paper. Go to the house and knock on the door and explain what you do and offer to look at what they are selling to see if you could get more money for them on eBay. If you are too shy to do this, you could also just prepare a short note or a flyer explaining what you do and either drop it off on their door or send it in the mail timed to arrive a couple of days before the sale.Another source of cold-calling is dropping into small antiques and collectible stores.

Today a lot of dealers are already selling on eBay themselves, but I know a few dealers who want to sell more on eBay but just don’t have the time. There are other, old-fashioned dealers who have never tried eBay and probably never will. These people are very approachable. eBay and the soft economy of the past few years have been cutting into their sales, and many small antique dealers are struggling. Your efforts can really help some of these small-town dealers stay in business. You can do this with any business, but the advantage of antiques and collectibles is that they are usually higher priced than most used goods.

Another technique I use is to visit estate sales and garage sales at the end of the day just before they close. Sometimes people have things that wouldn’t sell, because either there is no local market or they priced them too high for a garage sale. Often you can sell these items at a higher price on eBay.

Networking :

You should volunteer to speak before community groups such as the Lions Club, Rotary, the senior center, chamber meetings, and so on. Give a talk about “How to sell on eBay.” This will help get your name out in the community. Your talk should not be a sales pitch for your services, but you can mention what you do at the end of your talk and most groups will let you hand out business cards or flyers.

Join your local Chamber of Commerce, where you can meet bankers, attorneys, and local business owners. The best way to meet and develop a relationship with these folks is to volunteer for some of the committees, such as the speaker committee or dinner committee, or else for events the chamber sponsors. This will bring you in close contact with other members and people will look upon you as someone who really cares rather than someone who joined the chamber just for the business contacts.

As a chamber member, you will also be allowed to advertise in the chamber newsletter or magazine and will have a directory of all the members that you can use for direct mail.
As you will be dealing with business people you will want to look business-like. This doesn’t mean you have to wear a suit. The corporate casual look is very acceptable. Nice slacks, a blouse or shirt and perhaps a blazer if you are speaking to a group, or meeting a business owner, will work fine.

Creating a Presentation Book:

Prepare and carry a presentation book (or a “pitch book” as it’s called by salespeople). Buy a three-ring notebook and plastic sleeves that hold an 8" × 10" sheet of paper.
Prepare inserts as follows:

* Facts about eBay * Facts about you (feedback status, power seller status, years of eBay experience, and so on)* A screen shot of your feedback page with comments* Examples of common items selling on eBay* Some screen shots of successful auctions you have completed*

Your fee schedule* A list of local references

You should also carry extra copies of your fee schedule, your flyer or card, and a consignment contract to leave at the end of the meeting.Practice giving your presentation until you can give a concise “pitch” in about ten minutes. You will be reading upside down (people seldom sit side by side in a business meeting), so you will need to memorize what you want to say about each page.Your presentation should be concise, informative, and to the point. When you get to the end of your presentation, don’t forget to ask for the business. Do not say something lame such as “Well, what do you think?” Instead say something along the lines of, “Mr. Jones, do you have any merchandise that you would like me to try selling for you?” Or you might say, “Mrs. Brown, would you like to give me a couple of items to test-market for you before making a final decision.

If you take one thing away from this article, it should be that consignors will not beat a path to your door. It is not enough to announce to the world that you are in business. You have to proactively go out and look for consignors. I would try all of the techniques listed here. Over time, you will learn which ones work best for you and your particular market.
Skip McGrath, Guest Authorfor Worldwide Brands, Inc
<!--

Website publishers are increasingly getting involved in Google Adsense Arbitrage to generate revenues. Here's how the Adsense Adwords Arbitrage system works:A company buys cheap ads (using a Google Adwords account) to drive users to their site where they write about topics that are likely to attract high-paying ads.If a reader clicks on cheap ad to come to their site, and then leaves the site by clicking on an expensive ad, the website owner makes money on the difference, minus Google's cut.But Adsense Arbitrage may not be the best way to generate income from Adsense. There are some risks involved that could eat your profits:

1. People who have already clicked on an ad are much less willing to keep clicking on more ads.

2. You will never get a 100% CTR - and every visitor exiting your site without clicking the "high-paying" ad will make you poorer by atleast 5 cents.

3. Even if you provide no exit routes other than adsense links, people may always close the browser window or type another URL in the address bar or click on bookmarks.

Of course, without advertisers' cash, this corner of the online-ad market could never flourish.

Google has also introduced a system of separate content bidding for Google AdWords. Advertisers can now choose to bid different prices for keywords depending on whether the ad appears on either the Google search engine or content sites. Previously, the single keyword bid by advertisers was applied to their ads on both search and content pages. Make Money with Google Adwords

The move brings Google into line with Yahoo! that has run a similar dual pricing strategy for some time. It allows advertisers to compare the effectiveness of their promotions on the different mediums and vary the prices they are willing to bid accordingly. For example some advertisers might prefer to target content sites specific to the product they are selling while others may wish to attract potential buyers while they are still in the 'research mode' - i.e. when using the search engine to find product.

Google says that the new content bidding mechanism will be available to advertisers through the AdWords campaign management interface and is available to all advertisers worldwide. It also says the new service will not affect the site targeting feature, which is the tool that allows advertisers to target specific content sites in the Google network.

In addition, the minimum bid for content is now a static $.01 (in the US).
<!--

In short, for big blogs ? BlogAds (BA); for small blogs ? Google Adsense (GA)
A smallish blog cannot make any money at all with BlogAds. BA?s $10 minimum 1 week price effectively eliminates small blogs from potential advertisers? consideration.Look at Order BlogAds. Ten blogs, with weekly hits ranging from 5,000 to 15,000, offer BA advertising for the $10 minimum. The typical $10/week BA advertiser gets 10,000 hits, a nice round $1 per 1,000 (weekly) hits. No reasonable advertiser is going to look below those blogs, to spend his $10 per week. If you?re a specialty blog (e.g. Canadian knitting) or if you have steeply discounted your quarterly and annual rates, maybe you might get someone. Let?s stay with the common cases. There are also thirty large blogs that sell their ad space for more than $10 per week. Atrios offers his 260,000 weekly hits for $100, equivalent to $1 per 2,600 hits. In general the bigger bloggers will offer more hits per advertising dollar, and advertisers like that.
Back to small bloggers who must face the $10 BA weekly minimum. Why would any advertiser pass by thirty large blogs (Atrios, Instapundit, etc.) and pass by ten medium-sized blogs (the $10 guys noted above) to pay the same ten dollars for some small blog?s lower traffic?
For bloggers under 5,000 hits per week, the chances that any advertiser will take you up on your BAoffer are slim-to-none.

Google Adsense operates very differently, and very simply. Slap their code on your blog and they will pay you for every click-thru. (I?m not going to define these basic web-marketing terms, like ?click-through,? here, Google them if you need to. Any jargon used here is common in website and affiliate marketing.) A typical website will get a one percent click-through rate (CTR), and Google will pay about ten cents per click thru. So, if a blog gets 10,000 hits per week, GA would pay that blogger $1.00 (10 clicks times ten cents)

A smaller blogger, let?s say with 3,500 weekly hits, could expect to make $3.50 from GA. GA has no ?minimums? per se, but pays monthly, or when you?ve earned $100, or at least once a year. So a very small GA user might wait a year for a check. (Google Terms of Service forbid me from revealing my stats. The stats mentioned here are not exactly my own experience, and can be gleaned from any number of discussion forums.)

?Why, then,? an astute reader might ask, ?Does The Commissar, a small blogger, have both GA and BA on his page? He seems to have gotten some BA advertisers.? I am trying BA. In the short term, a test is worthwhile; not much is lost. It DOES increase the clutter on the blog, and probably cannibalizes some of the GA click-throughs. After a couple months, assuming the points made in this article are confirmed, I expect to remove BlogAds. And who are those advertisrs? Those are ?freebies.? BlogAds essentially requires it users to set up some free ads to prime the pump. Nothing sneaky or secret; that?s just how the program works.
James recently enrolled in Google Ads.

Prof. Bainbridge has been disappointed in BlogAds.
How to make money with Google Adsense
<!--

If your keyword list is not deep enough, you will be doomed to pay top dollar on only a few highly-trafficked phrases that garner top dollar bids. So, what are the steps to developing a great keyword list?

First things first: you need your core list of targeted keywords and search phrases. These are the terms that your customers will type in to find your goods and services. Let's say you have an online store that sells handheld organizers like the Palm Pilot. Take a minute and think about how you would go about searching for a personal digital assistant (PDA) online. Would you search on the term 'digital device'? How about 'PDA'? Maybe 'Palm Pilot' or 'Palm V'? Would you try 'personal electronics'? My point is that there are many, many different and distinct search terms that will get you where you want to go.

instructions:

Write down the top search terms that you can think of that describe your business or service. I suggest keeping this list on a spreadsheet if at all possible -- this will make it easier to organize and submit later.

Use the Overture 'Search Suggestion Tool' to get an idea of the popularity of each search term and enter this number under a 'monthly impressions' column in your spreadsheet. The tool is located here.

When I searched on our example keywords, I found that those search terms were recently searched as follows:

Pda - 420,800
palm pilot - 75,982
palm V - 3,899
digital device - 376
personal electronics - 250

Use the Search Suggestion Tool to lengthen your list of search terms. Not only does the Search Suggestion Tool reveal the number of searches for any given search phrase, it also displays any closely related search terms.

Another excellent resource is found at www.wordtracker.com. At $199 for an annual membership, this service will reveal which terms are the most searched on the Web, and also give suggestions for alternative search phrases. Typing 'palm pilot' into Word Tracker also shows a list of search terms (suggestions), and the number of times the associated terms were searched at Overture in the previous month:

palm pilot software – 6,960
palm pilot game – 5,486
palm pilot free game – 5,478
palm pilot free ware – 2,315
palm pilot free software – 2,203
palm pilot downloads – 1,995
free palm pilot downloads – 1,931
palm pilot accessory – 1,291
palm pilot share ware – 985

Add all the new relevant terms and monthly impressions to your spreadsheet list. Be creative! Type in any series of words that you think might lead someone to your product or service. Use a thesaurus and a dictionary to assist you.

Go back to your list -– it should be pretty lengthy by now –- and add modifying words that are relevant to your product or service, such as: cheap, discount, low cost, free, premium, authentic, etc. Check the Search Suggestion Tool to assess the number of searches conducted for those terms in the previous month. Enter the terms and data into your spreadsheet under 'monthly impressions'.

In our example, if you use the keyword 'Palm Pilot', why not consider using 'discount Palm Pilot', 'cheap Palm Pilot', or 'low cost Palm Pilot' if they apply to your business? The purpose of these activities is to generate the longest possible list of relevant search terms possible. Why? Remember, you only pay when someone actually clicks on your message. You pay nothing extra to simply list more keywords. Additionally, the more keywords you have, and the more specific the search phrases are, the more likely that your visitor will be truly interested in your product or service. For example: 'pda' is a very general search term. Anyone interested in handheld organizers might search using this term. However, 'Palm V' is a more targeted search term. These customers are narrowed to a particular brand and model. The search phrase 'discount Palm V' is even more targeted, and will attract price conscious Palm V shoppers.

A longer list of relevant search phrases also increases the likelihood that you will attract visitors to your site at a lower cost. That is because it is often possible to bid less for a click if the search term is less popular. More search terms, bid at a lower cost, mean more traffic to your site for fewer advertising dollars.

At this point in the process, you should have a fairly comprehensive list of targeted search terms and phrases. I suggest you sort the terms on your spreadsheet by 'monthly impressions' to get a sense of which terms are most popular. These are the terms that can end up costing you the most advertising dollars if you choose to bid for a high ranking.

Congratulations! You have now generated a comprehensive keyword list that will get you ahead of your competitors. In the next installment, we'll look at some rarely used techniques to ensure that your clickthrough rates are among the highest in your category.
<!--

Now, I make a lot of money from AdSense, which both puts me in the majority and makes me absolutely biased, so I’m going to pass on these stories with minimal comment.

FuckedGoogle says AdSense’s biggest source of money is from crap misspelled domains, or “typo-squatters”. They say Applied Semantics, which Google bought and turned into AdSense, was started as a way for no-content squatter domains to fill their landing pages with advertising.

They also point out that Microsoft’s Strider, which searches for misspelled domains and finds them, as well as showing their advertiser, almost always comes back with one answer: Google.
(via Digg)

However, there is another school that believes AdSense’s secret revenues come from accounts that never reach the $100 level to get their first check. Basically, if you don’t reach a hundred bucks, Google keeps it all. Nick Carr calls it “the great Google float“, Mike Madison calls those publishers “Google sharecroppers”, but it is Kingley that deserves an award for the best title: “The Long Tail of Spare Change“.
<!--
